Simply Sweet Ladybug Valentine
Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I thought I would share a "simple" craft my son and I created this week. I present to you ...The Love Bug!

My son is currently working with shapes at school. So I thought, what a better way to practice, then to create a "heart-shaped" Valentine's Day card.
What you'll need to get started:
Red/Pink Cardstock
Black Marker
Glue
Tape
Black Pipe Cleaner
Googly Eyes
Black Pipe Cleaner
Googly Eyes
Steps:
1. Fold cardstock & cut out heart-shape.
2. Draw a line down the crease, this creates the wings.
3. Proceed by drawing/filling in a half circle at the top for the head.
4. Fold pipe cleaner and tape it onto the back.
(Make sure to attach it where the head starts)
5. Bend pipe cleaners toward the front, following the perimeter of the head.
6. Shape/Form Antennas.
7. Add "Ladybug" spots and begin to decorate!
8. Don't forget the "Googly Eyes"
This adorable little ladybug is easy and fun to create, it's perfect for your preschooler/kindergartner. It will definitely put a smile on any teacher's face! Everyone loves a Love Bug, especially when it's Homemade and from the Heart!
